We are a women owned Boutique Spa and have been in business since 2014 supporting the Richmond and surrounding communities. We offer a variety of specialized Therapeutic Massage, Thai Massage & Reiki services.

Divine Spark is hiring a Licensed Massage Therapist for a contractor position. We are looking for a passionate and caring practitioner who is looking for a long-term job opportunity. The candidate should be committed to providing an exceptional experience to our clients. Having a background or interest in learning Reiki is required. We will lovingly train and certify the right candidate in Reiki for FREE. Experience as a Thai Massage therapist is a plus but is not required.

The candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of modalities including but not limited to:

Required Massage Modalities: Swedish, Deep tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, NMT, and PNF.

We will train you in: Cupping, Scraping/IASTM, Himalayan Stone Massage, Reiki, Herbal Compress Massage and other techniques to enhance your practice.

Details of Contract:

$50-$67.50 per hour (50% Commission + 100% Tips)

How many days a week? 3 to 5 days a week

Available shifts for this position: (Choose 3 to 5 Days a week from the available days below. Earlier shifts are available once you build a consistent book.)

Mon 1-8pm
Tues 1-8pm
Wed 1-8pm
Thurs 1-8pm
Fri 12:30-7:30pm
Sat 11-6pm (2 to 3 weekends a month with flexible start and end times)
Sun 11-6 (flexible start and end times)

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

A passion for helping others
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Effective Communication and exceptional customer service skills
The desire for autonomy and thrives working independently (key holder, open and/or close the spa, receive clients, do laundry, take payment & rebook clients)
A desire to thrive within the role for a year or more
At least 6months experience as a massage therapist
Experience working in a spa environment (at least 6 months experience)
Sound healing experience or the desire to learn the modality (we will train you)
Crystal healing experience: knowledge of and interest in crystals or the desire to learn the modality (we will train you)
Reiki certification: Has attended a certification class and received a Reiki attunement or placement or has a desire to learn the modality (we will train you)
Current License in massage therapy in the state of Virginia
Current liability insurance policy for massage
